A replacement boot lock kit for a Sinclair C5. The boot key or even the lock itself is commonly lost and although there are alternatives they require work to fit. I have designed and 3D printed an adapter that allows an aftermarket lock to be used as a direct replacement for the original.

Kit Contents

• Lock with two keys
• Retaining washer and nut
• 3D Printed adapter

Fitting Instructions

1. Open the boot of your C5 and remove the existing lock from your c5 by pulling the retaining tab to one side. This allows the lock to be removed from the outside of the boot leaving you with just a hole.
2. Insert the 3D printed adapter into the hole ensuring that the tabs are aligned with the boot. Smallest at the top.
3. Remove the lock arm from the lock using a crosshead screwdriver. Dont lose any of the bits.
4. Insert the lock body into the adapter and push until it is fully seated.
5. Fit the retaining washer followed by the retaining nut. Tighten the nut sufficiently.
6. Turn the lock to the unlocked position.
7. Refit the lock arm in the open position.
8. Close the boot and lock!
